Sayed M. Naim Khalid is a detail-oriented and results-driven Food Safety and Quality Assurance professional with over a decade of hands-on experience across manufacturing, retail, and distribution environments. As the founder of the American Food Safety Academy, Mr. Khalid brings together a wealth of global expertise, a passion for education, and an unwavering commitment to building a stronger, safer food system.

Mr. Khalid holds a Master of Science in Business Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s in Sustainable Food Science and Technology from Lille Catholic University in France. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Food Production and Agriculture from Kabul University, Afghanistan, which laid the foundation for his life-long dedication to food safety.

Throughout his career, Mr. Khalid has developed and led comprehensive food safety programs, conducted internal and third-party audits, and collaborated with regulatory bodies and industry leaders. His deep knowledge of regulatory compliance, sanitation, and risk mitigation has made him a trusted expert in the field.

He is also a certified Food Safety and Quality Management professional with an impressive list of credentials, including:
