The American Food Safety Academy (AFSA) offers training and capacity-building services that align with multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

• SDG 1 (No Poverty): By enhancing agribusiness services, farm management, and farm productivity, AFSA helps improve rural livelihoods and create income-generating opportunities, especially in underserved farming communities.

• SDG 2 (Zero Hunger): AFSA promotes food system safety and sustainability to reduce food loss and improve food access.

• SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being): Its training programs minimize foodborne illness by strengthening hygiene and food safety practices across the supply chain.

• SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production): AFSA encourages responsible food production and handling that protect consumer health and the environment.
